Paris is a multi-ethnic city, bustling with life, where all manner of cultural and artistic wealth can cross paths. So many talents remain in the shadows, with few places to go to perform and express themselves.
“During my journey, I would like to temporarily hang up my guitars and my bass, and put down my amplifiers, drums and sound systems. My plan is to create a unique venue at the heart of Paris, a “Kim Anh Rockin On” refuge, where I can meet all these men and women who share the exact same ideals, and work with them to give the best of ourselves. ”
The idea is to create a place to share our passion for music, dance, world cuisines, painting, photography, etc., a permanent, open and international place where my friends from here and elsewhere on the planet, Parisian musicians or those just passing through, can always find the space to perform, meet up, spread their energy and draw strength from it, or find and provide the antidote to loneliness, the daily grind or issues with health, family, money or whatever is keeping them down… and to change Paris together!
Our world is a difficult and complicated world… I dream of building a better life together, filled with positive energy to spread peace and love all around us.
Guided by the love of music, dance, cooking and art, I will be at the centre of this movement to drive it with strength and enthusiasm, and much more…
I will channel all positive energies from musicians and the public toward more generous, universal objectives focusing on the centre of gravity that this place will be, by associating charitable organisations (such as Maison Chance (1)), Optim’Autisme(2), etc.), by donating the proceeds of our activities to them.
My dream is to spark, and then amplify a vast movement, simply aiming to reconcile everything that matters to me: enjoying myself, sharing happy moments and the exchange of ideas, support, energies, and providing meaningful, direct help to those in need of it.”
(1) Founded by Tim Aline Rebeaud, Maison Chance provides accommodation, medical treatment, education and professional training to handicapped or underprivileged children. Tim Aline is a close friend of Kim Anh’s, whom she had met at university, and Kim Anh has volunteered at the association for some time. www.maison-chance.org
(2) Optim’Autisme aims to organise courses for parents and volunteers, award bursaries to families and volunteers, raise awareness to innovative approaches, create and maintain a network of mutual assistance and solidarity between families.
